In most cases, the concept is usually quite simple, always clever and measures great impact whether it be its functionality, design, or visual appeal. This week's Success Story Mum has definitely come up with that special something and found her inspiration through a very unlikely item--a plain, boring black pram.

How it all started...
Babychic Designs started after I fell pregnant with my little babychic. After living in the UK for 2 years I was looking for a pram that was truly different. I searched high and low for the pram of my dreams and whilst I fell in love with many, my budget just would not stretch to some of the prices. I finally found a pram that had the functionality I wanted and at the price my hubby liked. However it was plain black, nice but lacking something special!
So I engaged my much loved mother-in-law and asked to borrow her ancient Toyota sewing machine, as I wanted to make a cover for my pram. Finally after many days of sewing I had made a pram cover! Once my little angel Sienna Elizabeth arrived I was walking around the shops and got stopped endlessly asking where I got my pram from... and so I started up babychic designs, allowing other mums to customise their pram and be the chicest mum & bub around.

“All our pram covers & matching accessories are designed here by myself and are sourced globally. We try where-ever possible to keep the environment in mind with everything we do - we use a lot of bamboo which is said to be one of the fastest plants in the world and can be grown with limited pesticides, we also try where we can to have our marketing materials printed on recycled card, we also encourage our customers to reuse our packaging sleeve for precious baby keepsakes like cards etc, when they are finished with it it is also recyclable.”
